Conditions

Conditions alter a Creatura's capabilities in a variety of ways and can arise as a result of a incantesimo, a class Privilegio, a mostro's Attacco, or other effect. Most conditions, such as Cieco, are impairments, but a few, such as Invisibile, can be advantageous.

A condition lasts either until it is countered (the Prono condition is countered by standing up, for example) or for a duration specified by the effect that imposed the condition.

If multiple effects impose the same condition on a Creatura, each instance of the condition has its own duration, but the condition's effects don't get worse. A Creatura either has a condition or doesn't.

The following definitions specify what happens to a Creatura while it is subjected to a condition.

Cieco

- A Cieco Creatura can't see and automatically fails any ability check that requires sight. - Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Vantaggio, and the Creatura's Attacco rolls have Svantaggio.

Ammaliato

- A Ammaliato Creatura can't Attacco the charmer or target the charmer with harmful abilities or magical effects. - The charmer has Vantaggio on any ability check to interact socially with the Creatura.

Assordato

- A Assordato Creatura can't hear and automatically fails any ability check that requires hearing.

Affaticamento

Some special abilities and environmental hazards, such as starvation and the long-term effects of freezing or scorching temperatures, can lead to a special condition called Affaticamento. Affaticamento is measured in six Livelli. An effect can give a Creatura one or more Livelli of Affaticamento, as specified in the effect's description.

Table- Affaticamento Effects

| Livello | Effect | |-------|------------------------------------------------| | 1 | Svantaggio on ability checks | | 2 | Velocità halved | | 3 | Svantaggio on Attacco rolls and Tiri Salvezza | | 4 | Colpito point maximum halved | | 5 | Velocità reduced to 0 | | 6 | Death | | | |

If an already exhausted Creatura suffers another effect that causes Affaticamento, its current Livello of Affaticamento increases by the amount specified in the effect's description.

A Creatura suffers the effect of its current Livello of Affaticamento as well as all lower Livelli. For example, a Creatura suffering Livello 2 Affaticamento has its Velocità halved and has Svantaggio on ability checks.

An effect that removes Affaticamento reduces its Livello as specified in the effect's description, with all Affaticamento effects ending if a Creatura's Affaticamento Livello is reduced below 1.

Finishing a long rest reduces a Creatura's Affaticamento Livello by 1, provided that the Creatura has also ingested some food and drink. Also, being raised from the dead reduces a Creatura's Affaticamento Livello by 1.

Spaventato

- A Spaventato Creatura has Svantaggio on ability checks and Attacco rolls while the source of its fear is within line of sight. - The Creatura can't willingly move closer to the source of its fear.

Afferrato

- A Afferrato Creatura's Velocità becomes 0, and it can't benefit from any bonus to its Velocità. - The condition ends if the grappler is incapacitated (see the condition). - The condition also ends if an effect removes the Afferrato Creatura from the reach of the grappler or grappling effect, such as when a Creatura is hurled away by the thunder-wave incantesimo.

Incapacitated

- An incapacitated Creatura can't take actions or reactions.

Invisibile

- An Invisibile Creatura is impossible to see without the aid of magic or a special sense. For the purpose of hiding, the Creatura is heavily obscured. The Creatura's location can be detected by any noise it makes or any tracks it leaves.

- Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Svantaggio, and the Creatura's Attacco rolls have Vantaggio.

Paralizzato

- A Paralizzato Creatura is incapacitated (see the condition) and can't move or speak. - The Creatura automatically fails Forza and Destrezza Tiri Salvezza. - Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Vantaggio. - Any Attacco that hits the Creatura is a Colpo Critico if the attacker is within 5 feet of the Creatura.

Pietrificato

- A Pietrificato Creatura is transformed, along with any nonmagical object it is wearing or carrying, into a solid inanimate substance (usually stone). Its weight increases by a factor of ten, and it ceases aging. - The Creatura is incapacitated (see the condition), can't move or speak, and is unaware of its surroundings. - Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Vantaggio. - The Creatura automatically fails Forza and Destrezza Tiri Salvezza. - The Creatura has Resistenza to all Danno. - The Creatura is immune to poison and disease, although a poison or disease already in its system is suspended, not neutralized.

Avvelenato

- A Avvelenato Creatura has Svantaggio on Attacco rolls and ability checks.

Prono

- A Prono Creatura's only movement option is to crawl, unless it stands up and thereby ends the condition. - The Creatura has Svantaggio on Attacco rolls. - An Tiro per Colpire against the Creatura has Vantaggio if the attacker is within 5 feet of the Creatura. Otherwise, the Tiro per Colpire has Svantaggio.

Trattenuto

- A Trattenuto Creatura's Velocità becomes 0, and it can't benefit from any bonus to its Velocità. - Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Vantaggio, and the Creatura's Attacco rolls have Svantaggio. - The Creatura has Svantaggio on Destrezza Tiri Salvezza.

Stordito

- A Stordito Creatura is incapacitated (see the condition), can't move, and can speak only falteringly. - The Creatura automatically fails Forza and Destrezza Tiri Salvezza. - Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Vantaggio.

Incosciente

- An Incosciente Creatura is incapacitated (see the condition), can't move or speak, and is unaware of its surroundings - The Creatura drops whatever it's holding and falls Prono. - The Creatura automatically fails Forza and Destrezza Tiri Salvezza. - Attacco rolls against the Creatura have Vantaggio. - Any Attacco that hits the Creatura is a Colpo Critico if the attacker is within 5 feet of the Creatura.
